Gregor Schöpf (*1989) is a 33-year-old German Nature Photographer based in Stockholm, Sweden.
Born in Frankfurt, Germany he was brought into close contact with nature while spending a part of his childhood living in Lake Echo and Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He has since lived in Munich, The Hague, Berlin, and Brussels.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in International & European Law, with a Specialization in International Humanitarian and International Criminal Law from The Hague University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands).
The inspiration for 侘寂 Wabi-Sabi Nature Photography came from the desire to explore a visual language that is both universal and apolitical, in light of the difficulties that humanity is facing.
Gregor is instinctively drawn to Japanese aesthetics because classical and medieval Japanese culture defined beauty through nature-based aesthetic paradigms.
